Tori is the CEO of Globally Empowered LLC, a consulting firm dedicated to coaching, education, research, and training. Her superpower is bringing diverse populations together to achieve individual and institutional goals and objectives.

She is an Inclusion Institute Certified Diversity Practitioner through the People Company Consulting Group. Tori received her MSW from UIC’s Jane Addams College of Social Work. She trained to become a clinical therapist while working with vulnerable, marginalized communities. She obtained her project management certificate from Northwestern University’s School of Professional Studies. Her focus is centered on workforce development, education reform, research, and training.

Tori currently serves as Informatics Senior Manager with a nonprofit health IT organization. Her responsibilities encompass program development, volunteer management, education reform, research, and publications.

She is the co-editor and contributor of the 5th Edition of the Nursing Informatics: A Health Informatics, Interprofessional and Global Perspective textbook published by Springer Nature in July 2022.

Her broad spectrum of experience includes working in countries throughout Africa, the Caribbean, and Europe. These efforts were supported with funding from the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEFPAR) and the European Commission.

Tori counts among her accomplishments: Co-founder/current Board President of Global Implementation Solutions (GIS); member of the Multi-Interprofessional Center for Health Informatics (MICHI) External Advisory Board at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA); and Advisory Committee Member for the Summer Institute of Nursing Informatics (SINI) Conference.
