You Carry the Weight of Leadership.
You Shouldn’t Have to Carry It Alone.

You are expected to make the call, steady the room, see what others miss, and keep moving.

And most days, you do.

But there are decisions you cannot think through in a 30-minute opening on your calendar. Conversations you cannot have with your team. Questions that deserve more than whatever attention is left at the end of the day.

The SHIFT gives you that room.

A private two-day leadership experience for senior women who want to step away from the demands of the role long enough to think clearly about how they are leading, what they are carrying, and what needs to change.

The Dylin | Madison, Wisconsin

Limited to 10 senior women leaders.

Carry Less. Lead More. Create Change.

You Can Be Good at Leadership and Still Need Room to Think.

The higher you lead, the fewer places there are to say what you are really thinking.

People want answers from you.

They need decisions.

They look to you for confidence even when the situation is complicated and the answer is not obvious.

So you keep moving.

You handle what is urgent. You absorb what comes your way. You make room for everyone else.

And the questions that require your deepest thinking get pushed to later.

Later has a way of becoming months. Sometimes years.

The SHIFT is two days to interrupt that pattern.

To look at what has become normal.

To name what has been taking more from you than it should.

To make decisions you have been circling.

And to return to your leadership with greater clarity about what deserves your energy now.

This Room Is for Women Who Carry Real Responsibility.

The SHIFT is designed for senior women whose decisions affect people, culture, performance, and the direction of an organization.

You may be a CEO, executive, founder, senior people leader, business leader, or someone whose title doesn’t fully describe the responsibility you carry.

You don’t need to be burned out.

You don’t need to be in crisis.

But you do need to be willing to look closely at your leadership.

Experience can make us better leaders. It can also make us repeat ways of working that no longer serve us.

What got you here may not be what you need for what comes next.

We limit The SHIFT to 10 senior women leaders because the size of the room changes the quality of the conversation.

Everyone has a voice.

There is time to stay with a difficult question.

And you don’t have to compete for airtime or perform expertise.

What Are You Carrying Because It Truly Belongs to You?

And what are you carrying because you have always been the one who can?

That distinction matters.

At The SHIFT, we will examine the responsibilities, expectations, habits, and assumptions shaping how you lead right now.

Some will need to stay.

Some need to change.

Some may need to be put down altogether.

We will look at the decisions you make under pressure, the boundaries you maintain—or don’t—the conversations you postpone, and where your leadership may be costing more of you than it needs to.

You will have room to work through real questions, not hypothetical case studies.

Your leadership. Your decisions. Your next move.

What Our Two Days Together Look Like

DAY ONE |

1:00–7:00 PM

REIMAGINE + RECOVER

Start With the Leader Behind the Role.

Before deciding what needs to change, you need to see clearly what is happening now.

Day One gives you the chance to step outside the pace of your work and look at the expectations you carry, where your energy is going, the pressures affecting how you show up, and the patterns that have become so familiar you may no longer question them.

Through guided reflection, candid conversation, Courage Circles, and facilitated discussion, you’ll work on the leadership issues that deserve more attention than your schedule usually allows.

You don’t have to perform leadership here.

You get to examine it.

The question for Day One:

What am I carrying that is shaping how I lead?

DAY TWO |

10:00 AM–4:00 PM

RISE + REBUILD

Turn Insight Into Decisions.

Day Two moves from what you noticed to what you’re going to do about it.

What will you keep doing?

What needs to stop?

Where do you need a clearer boundary?

What conversation needs to happen?

What deserves more of your attention?

We’ll work through the choices affecting your capacity, relationships, accountability, decision-making, and the way others experience your leadership.

Then you’ll turn what you’ve discovered into specific commitments you can take back to your organization.

The question for Day Two:

What will I do differently because I gave myself this time?

What Shifted?

After our last SHIFT, we asked participants what changed for them.

One told us:

“I feel more empowered, supported, and less isolated as a leader.”

Another described The SHIFT as:

“A great opportunity to pause, connect, and reset.”

One participant had been wrestling with a difficult leadership decision:

“I knew what I needed to do all along. I needed time to reflect and say it out loud what I feared. What was holding me back.”

And another described the experience this way:

“I felt embraced for who I was, supported to be who I desired; seen and refreshed.”

Sometimes clarity doesn’t come from learning more.

It comes from finally having enough room to hear what you already know.

You Have Enough Leadership Content.

You can find another leadership book, podcast, conference, assessment, webinar, or framework before lunch.

Access to information isn’t the problem.

The harder part is having the time to decide what any of it means for you.

That’s why The SHIFT is small.

10 women. Two facilitators. Two days.

Bring the decision you’ve been postponing.

The situation you keep replaying.

The boundary you know is overdue.

The opportunity you’re considering.

The question you can’t ask just anywhere.

You’ll be with women who understand what it means to be responsible for a lot—and who don’t need you to prove that you belong in the room.

Come with what is real.

That’s where we’ll begin.

We Created the Room We Kept Seeing Leaders Need.

Deborah Biddle + Brittany Coleman

Between us, we’ve spent decades leading inside organizations, advising executives, developing leaders, navigating complex people challenges, studying human behavior, and working with teams through change.

And we’ve seen the same pattern again and again.

Highly capable women carrying significant responsibility with very few places where they can set down the role long enough to think.

That’s why we created The SHIFT.

We didn’t create it to give accomplished women more to do.

We created it to give them room to decide what’s worth doing next.

Our role is to guide the conversation, notice what may be getting missed, ask the harder question when it matters, and make sure you leave with more than a good experience.

You should leave with clarity you can use.

Deborah Biddle

The People Culture Architect
Founder & Principal Consultant, The People Company Consulting Group

Deborah Biddle is a leadership strategist, organizational culture advisor, executive coach, speaker, and author with more than 30 years of business and leadership experience.

Before founding The People Company Consulting Group, Deborah built her career in corporate finance, including leadership experience within Fortune 200 organizations.

Today, she works with executives and organizations to close the gap between what leaders intend and what employees experience.

Her work gets underneath the surface of leadership to the decisions, behaviors, systems, and conversations that shape culture and determine how people actually experience an organization.

At The SHIFT, Deborah brings both perspectives: the experience of carrying leadership responsibility and years spent advising the people who carry it now.

Brittany Coleman

Founder, TREE-HR
Organizational Management Consultant | People & Talent Strategist

Brittany Coleman brings more than two decades of experience across organizational psychology, human resources, talent strategy, people leadership, and organizational performance.

Her work brings the science of human behavior into the realities of leading people and organizations.

Brittany has worked inside organizations, alongside leaders, and through complex people challenges where there is rarely one simple answer.

At The SHIFT, she brings a sharp understanding of how people think, how organizations operate, and what becomes possible when leaders have enough room to examine both.

Where You Think Matters.

The Dylin | Madison, Wisconsin

We chose The Dylin because The SHIFT shouldn’t feel like another meeting.

It gives us a private, comfortable setting away from the usual rhythm of the workday.

There is no giant ballroom. No racing from breakout session to breakout session. No packed conference agenda.

We have room to sit together, eat together, talk, think, and stay with a conversation long enough to get somewhere.
